It'll Never Fly

My copy of Kung Fu Hustle (Asian Limited Edition) arrived in the mail today. I ordered on the 22nd of April, and 10 days later it’s in my hands. That’s 10 days to process the order, check availability of 14 items, package said items, and then deliver from Hong Kong to my front door. Good job, LaYoYo! And to top it off, it also included a wrist watch and a 2005 calendar.

The 14th item, Final Justice, was out of stock. Also, you might notice a bit of a trend there. I’ve also noticed the production quality of the newer DVDs has improved greatly. The older ones used to look and feel really cheap that you could barely tell them apart from their bootlegs. Of course, the better quality will eventually lead to higher prices.

‘Cause if it can do what it was doing in Kung Fu Hustle, then “Look out!” Just finished seeing it at the local multiplex and it was as good, if not better, than I had hoped. I’ve seen a lot of his earlier movies, so I had high hopes that I’d be able to include this one as one my favourites. I’ve placesd my order with LaYoYo.com, so soon I’ll have my own copy on DVD.

I went to the Starsky & Hutch sneak preview last Saturday, and it’s the funniest movie I’ve seen in the last few years. I’m definitely going to see it again when it comes out on March 5. The scenes with the Korean hired killer were hilarious. Go see it when it comes out. Do it. Do it.
