Any idea what this is asking?
It’s like everything was 7% off in Alberta. No PST and a 50 dollar gift card meant I had to buy a new iPod. I haven’t had any luck getting H.264 content created with mencoder working on it, yet.
We’ve arrived in Edmonton and unpacked at the hotel. Not sure what’s next. Supper, I guess. Then probably shopping. Maybe a movie. Who knows.
It’s something like -25 with the wind, but we had to stop to take a picture of the world’s largest Ukrainian Easter egg (otherwise called a pysanka). Vegreville reminds me a lot of Melville. (You’ll have to pardon the partial finger in the picture. It was really cold out there.)
I was going to make a clever joke, but couldn’t think of one.
Update: Odd. Those last few emails I sent to flickr only had the image and not the description. I’ve included it now for completeness.
Update: I think I know what happened. Halway through the trip there, I changed the email address on my phone, and I’m assuming flickr only lets you post from confirmed email addresses. Odd that it would allow the picture to go through, though.
