I highly recommend having a copy of this by your side at all times. Any dictionary that has the regional definitions for bunny hug, chesterfield, and poutine is tops on my list.

Another indispensable book to have by your side. If you’ve taken an English course in university, chances are this was a required textbook. I still have my first edition, when they actually were brown.
