Sweet! I just received my prize for voting for Up a Paddle in their Podcast Pickle contest. I won Cromartie High School, Vol. 4. The weird thing is, I don’t even remember giving the Up a Paddle staff my mailing address.
It’s now officially on the list of stuff I still have yet to watch.

Yes, I know this is boring.
The number of spam comments is steady at over a hundred a day, and Akismet is starting to miss more and more (this stats chart might explain why). I had to moderate about 12 over the long weekend (all of which were spam). Another blogger has noticed the same thing. Following his lead, I’ve installed Bad Behaviour, so I’ll have to keep my eyes open to see if the number of spam comments dwindles. I’ve also read some discussions about another plugin called Spam Karma that I might check out.
And to lessen the number even greater, I’ve decided to disable comment posting on anything older than two weeks. I know you guys just *LOVE* commenting on stuff from last year, but sorry, that’ll have to stop. I’m putting my foot down. If you don’t like it, you can go to Helen Brown.
