It’s been a good day. I’d be quite happy right now if we just finished for the day and went back to the apartment, but there’s still a hockey game to go to. For those keeping score, it took 8 minutes this time. A tad slow.
What is it with Edmonton? Being this far north, you’d think they’d be used to it. They get a couple centimetres of snow, and suddenly the place turns into the island from Lord of the Flies.
And the giant 2 storey HMV in the mall has every DVD ever made except… yes, except… Star frickin’ Gate Atlantis! WTF!? Gonna hit up Best Buy tomorrow. It better be worth it.
Doesn’t sound like Sean Connery, tho. Wanted to get it from a different angle this time, too. Just reminded me of a video they used to show in school. Does anyone remember Dragons, Wagons, and Wheels?
The 3d stuff was very cool, but strangely disorienting. I found it best to focus your eyes on the centre, and not veer to the edges of the screen. I couldn’t quite focus correctly, and there would be a bit of a delay before my eyes would focus. I wanna see Creature from the Black Lagoon in 3d again. That was the first 3d movie I can remember seeing.
Pulled a boner and wore my glasses to the theatre. It’s not like I didn’t know I’d be going to see a 3d movie. Course the bigger boneheaded move was not even packing my contacts for the trip. When you don’t ever plan things I guess that’s bound to happen. The cuz says I look like a geezer from Florida with these special 3d glasses on.
