‘Cause if it can do what it was doing in Kung Fu Hustle, then “Look out!” Just finished seeing it at the local multiplex and it was as good, if not better, than I had hoped. I’ve seen a lot of his earlier movies, so I had high hopes that I’d be able to include this one as one my favourites. I’ve placesd my order with LaYoYo.com, so soon I’ll have my own copy on DVD.
I hope you’re all watching wherever you can. Last night’s episode was the best one, yet.
Favourite Doctor? Tom Baker, of course.
First ever episode? The Sontaran Experiment.
Am I the first one to think of this? It seems obvious to me, but I’ve decided I’m going to give the name of Sunderfox to the suite of Thunderbird, Firefox, and Sunbird. It seems kind of ironic when you think about it, as the word sunder means to tear or separate something into parts.
Testing a a plugin that let’s me set ratings for a post. Did anything show up?
Update: Hmm, don’t really like where it puts it. I’m going to have to work on that. I’m also going to have to see if there’s a way to show the maximum potential value.
Update: I think I’ve got it where I like it now. Still haven’t looked into max value, yet.
Update: I’ve got max value showing now. All I’d like to do that’s left is be able to iconfigy decimal values. I’m thinking there’s got to be a way to do this with CSS.
Update: Decimal values are now working. It relies on a CSS trick, so YMMV

Something I’ve been wanting to do for a while was convert my 2nd gen 20GB Mac iPod (HFS+ formatted) to one that would work on both Mac and Windows. This would require wiping the drive and formatting to a FAT32 file system, which both OS’s can read natively.
My other option would have been to buy MacOpener and something like XPlay, but that is so last century. Using this tip from iPodLounge.com, you can freely convert between formats quite easily.
I didn’t have any non-music files to backup, and all my music is in iTunes, so there was nothing to backup. A few quick moments and a long sync phase later, my iPod was working natively with both systems. I did have to buy a FireWire PCI card as my crappy old Dell doesn’t have much of anything in the way of features, but the card was dirt cheap at Best Buy. Installation and detection was easy and hassle-free. I didn’t really buy it for my home PC, but for my one at work, so I’m going to be taking it apart and packing it up shortly.
Converting between formats hasn’t been an issue for a while now, as Apple defaults to FAT32 by default, I believe. Later this year, I’ll likely be buying an iPod Photo, anyway.
