Wherefore Art Thou, KILLERJ007?
I lost my virginity, and his name was KillerJ007. That’s right, I finally broke down and bought a network adapter for my PS2. Setting it up was a breeze.
My first online game was the demo for Madden 2004. I was playing the Jets. I won the coin toss, and elected to receive. A short kick to the right side of the field, I had no where to go and only got about 5-10 return yards (apparently an exceptional return for the NFL). First down, an incomplete 15 yard pass straight down the middle of the field. Second down, the quarterback decides to run with it, starts getting pressure from the left, and lobs a beautiful spiraling throw into section 22, row 12, seat 17. Someone’s caught tripping, and now I’m 2nd and 20. Second down repeated, a quick pass to the WR in the right flights, KillerJ007 misses the tackle by a mile, and I run the ball up the field an extra 30 yards or so. First down, an attempted pass to deep left, quarterback is pressured… FUMBLE! Opposing team recovers. First down on defense, I line up in 3-4 formation, 16 seconds left in the 1st, KillerJ007 calls for a timeout. Play resumes, again I go into a 3-4 formation, KillerJ007 quits. I win!
